Before joining EY, Szabolcs served as Legal and Compliance Director at Waberer’s International Plc. Earlier in his career, he led the real estate practice group at White & Case LLP’s Budapest office (now Dentons Europe LLP). He has been a member of the Budapest Bar Association since 1996 and the New York Bar Association since 1997.
Szabolcs has represented numerous private equity investors and investment funds in real estate development projects, acquisitions, financial restructurings, and equity and debt financing across the CEE region. He has also advised multinational corporations on complex lease negotiations for retail and office premises. His expertise spans domestic and cross-border real estate and M&A transactions, joint ventures, regulatory compliance, and corporate and commercial law.
In addition to his advisory roles, Szabolcs has extensive in-house experience, having worked for several real estate development companies operating in Hungary, the CEE region, and globally.
